• To highlight Sahakar Maharshi Balasaheb Pawar’s valuable contribution in the field of cooperative, agriculture, irrigation, entrepreneurship, cooperative banking, sugar industry, education and their problem through research.

• Conduct of research studies for finding the reasons behind the backwardness of Marathwada region through special studies by the research center, and examining primary to higher education system.

• Conduct comparative study of different sections of Marathwada and other regions of Maharashtra.

• To arrange lectures of different renowned personalities in the field of cooperation, agriculture, irrigation, etc. and create public awareness.

Proposed Activities

• Celebrating birth anniversary of Late. Balasaheb Pawar every year in the premises of university and affiliated colleges.

• To provide research fellowship to atleast two students every year for period of two years.

• After completion of two years of research, again two research students shall be selected for scholarship; provided the research topic should be related to the development of Marathwada region’s growth, co-operation, education, irrigation,etc.

• Study center shall publish research articles in a compilation.

• Shall provide financial assistance of Rs. 10000/- every year to at least one college in rural region for organizing agriculture fair, training program for imparting new technical knowhow regarding agriculture and farming, workshop on student personality development, group discussions, etc.

• Shall organize at least one conference every year on thought provokingissues / challenges in the Marathwada region.
