In Maharashtra , we have long tradition of
selfless Ambedkarism people and few Thinks who have developed and enriched theory and
practice ‘Ambedkarism’.They have voiced problems ,challenges of contemporary
India ,especially poverty,population,explosion,caste & Communal riots, tensions wars
in India . A large number of persons, organization have contributed in developing
Ambedkarism as as cementing force among the divided people of b. Centre as ‘Liason’
between institutions, policy makes and people. In order study and understand theory and
practice of Ambedkarism in contemporary Maharashtra and elsewhere to establish links
between academicians leaders, activists, government official, judicial, Constitutional
experts and students as well as groups involved in social transformation. The Centre shall
act.’Liason’ and resource centre. c.

action oriented emancipatory project. We should like to establish the Dr. Babasaheb
Ambedkar Research Centre at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, The Major objectives of the Centre
are envisaged which are given below. a)
The understand Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s
ideas/through philosophy and emancipator movements as well as to study the relevance of
them . b)
To undertake research in areas relating to
freeing the oppressed people thought various ways, policies and programmes , mainly
Reservation policy initiated first in India dusing 1902 by Rajashri Shahu Maharaj and them
followed by Govt. of India . Post –metric scholarship scheme (initiated during 1945)
abolition of unsociability practice , discrimination , distribution of surplus land and
enactment of legislations etc. and the movement as well as their impact on Dalits and
Non-Dalits. c)
To undertake research to know the impact of

To build Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Centre for
Research and Development , a resource centre (Library) of national international level
wherein all works of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and related studies ,literature for students , Scholars, administration and policy
makers as well as studies done on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on the people who have came under
his influences. e)
To create pedagogy for the toiling people and
administrations by the centre which will also include the collection of rare documents,
films, Audio –Films , Video sources relating to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar tuning all
with his vision of

Programmes and Activities proposed: The Centre will seek to acquaint young
generation with philosophy of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar
and his contemporary relevance . Therefore is seeks to pursue the following programmes and
activities derived form main aims objectives of proposal mentioned earlier. i)
to set up resource
centre for students ,teachers ,scholars and policy makers as well as administrators with
its library high tech. facilities and resource persons
so that as increasing number and people become acquainted with Ambedkarian ideas
and principles . ii)
To organize
Seminars, work-shops, Lecturer-series, on some identified themes, issued ,printed material
of these lectures and deliberations will be
placed in the library for the users. iii)
To conduct field-work and action programmes on the
basis of Ambedkarian course of actions, values. iv)
To conduct
orientation, training programmes v)
To conduct
full-time, part-time courses (Diploma, Certificate) for students. Short-term courses of 3
to 6 months. vi)
To conduct Research
by M.Phil/Ph.D. students , other scholars both on life and work of Dr. Ambedkar impact of
measures and legislations on weaker sections. vii)
To conduct action
–oriented research. viii)
To explore social
mobility among the Dalits and impact of legislations on them. ix)
To conduct critical
inquiry of the Dis-course between Dr. Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi. x)
Centre will publish
articles ,project, research papers , Seminar proceedings etc. xi)
The centre will
provide space for voice of Dalit women in research and other activities of the centre. xii)
The centre will act
National/International collaborative comparative centre and will provide the facilities to
do so. xiii)
The centre will
provide leadership, legal and social
guidance to the needy and it will not be meant for providing employment, jobs. xiv)
To undertake such
other activities and endeavors as would be considered suitable for furtherance of aims and
objectives of the centre.
